Wednesday

Got up a little later than I wanted, but on time. Grabbed my latte while getting the computer booted up, then parked on SL while getting Casey up, dressed, and fed. Dropped him off for Summer Pack, then headed back home.

Took care of my free book and paid emails as they came in, then got on Aura Kingdom for a while. Did some of the daily stuff, but wasn’t really feeling up to it so logged off.

Dave got home around noon, and I got to work on my chores. He was planning to go out to some concert with his girlfriend, but I didn’t think that would be until later.

Picked Casey up at the usual time and brought him back home. He looked like he was overheating and dehydrated again, and I was worried he’d end up sick again like he had been just last week. I had him drink some gatorade while we drove home, and told him that daddy was outside mowing the lawn but that he needed to stay inside to cool off and rehydrate so he wouldn’t get sick again.

I did an assessment for the work from home customer service company, and then had a speed test to do. I kept failing the speed test, even though I know I have awesome internet. I’m not sure why it was coming back inconsistent. My computer doesn’t have an ethernet port, so I looked up if there were adapters for it and there were. On mobile it was looking like Walmart had them in stock, so I headed there. I didn’t see any anywhere, so I checked the app. The app had them for 2 day delivery or in-store pickup, but not same day. In the parking lot, I checked Amazon to see what they had, and it was almost 50% cheaper and would be there Friday instead of Monday, so I went ahead and ordered it. That way I can hard wire my computer to the internet if need be. I may need to call the phone company and have them move the modem to my room, but we’ll see. I’d just as soon get an extremely long ethernet cable and hardwire only when I was working, but that would have a cable running from my computer to the modem, via the hallway.

Dave left not long after I got home, and I knew he wouldn’t be back until the next day. I reminded him about Casey being in the 4th of July Parade so he knew what time we had to be there as well as what time it started. I hoped, for Casey’s sake, he made it.

After Casey had exhausted his time limit on his tablet, he wanted to watch something downstairs. Dinner (tacos) was almost ready by that point, so I told him he could after dinner. He asked about having ice cream downstairs, and I said no because when he’d spilled crackers on the carpet down there earlier Dave had said no more food downstairs. He started pitching a fit and demanded that he ask daddy on the phone right then about having food downstairs. I called Dave and put him on speaker so I could hear what he had to say, and he said it’d be fine. I don’t agree with that decision, but whatever. I also didn’t want to argue with Casey over that.

Ate dinner and then Casey got settled back in with movies downstairs. He had his root beer float ice cream down there shortly before bedtime, and then I got him snuggled in.

Got on Conan to refresh the base, and ended up playing around in the co-op world I’d created a while back. Got quite a bit accomplished and was enjoying myself, but I ended up making my whole computer freeze up when I tried to fly across the world on an iron run. I ended up having to hold down the power button on the laptop to force it to shut down. After that I decided to just go to bed.
