Wednesday

I got up and got my latte, then got Casey up, dressed, and fed. My computer had been on all night, so I spent some time scrolling through Facebook while doing all of that. I shut the computer off as we were getting ready to head out. I dropped him off at the usual time, then headed back home.

I booted the computer up while making some more coffee, then got parked on SL and spent a bit of time scrolling through stuff on Facebook, until it was time to go to Therapy.

Therapy went well, I spent the entire time talking about the weekend with Daniel, what was said, where things stand, and where things are headed. She was so proud of me, and I am proud of myself. Going into low-income housing won’t be easy, or even ideal, but it will get me out of this abusive situation I am currently in with Dave. I am undecided if I’m going to take Casey with me right away or let him live with Dave for a while. Ultimately, what would be best in this situation, is to get Casey away from Dave as well. But, it would also be helpful to get on my feet a bit before moving Casey in with me. I don’t think Casey will be happy living in the house with just Dave, because all of Casey’s electronics are actually my old electronics that I’ll be taking with me. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully, I can just take him with me almost right away. When it comes down to it, I’ll need to just decide when to report Dave’s abuse to the military.

When I got home, I got on ArcheAge to take care of the gardening I never got to take care of the day before. Then I took care of my free book & paid emails before remembering I needed to do bill pay as well.

I was elated when I logged into a couple of the credit card sites and saw that more than half of the outstanding balances were returned to us as part of the Military SCRA program. All interest paid since 2005, and any fees paid since then as well, were returned to us. Once the divorce goes through, I will actually be able to afford to continue making payments on the cards, as long as I can stay in the low-income housing and start getting the alimony (and child support) from Dave. Thankfully, since the debt will be divided between us, Dave will actually be able to afford to pay the alimony and child support almost right away too. I calculated what I’ll get to be around $1300 a month in Alimony and $900 a month in child support. The child support is for Casey’s needs, the Alimony for mine. This is in addition to me working about 20 hours a week from home through Appen, and about 5 hours a week for Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Once I was done with bill pay, I resumed scrolling through stuff on Facebook until it was time to go pick up Casey from school. He got right on the toilet when we got home, so I took care of the dishes and scooped the litter box.

I finally got on ArcheAge Unchained to try it out. I created my characters on a server and went in on the one that would become a Gypsy to check things out. It was so busy though! I actually got disappointed, because that would mean that the “housing for all” that was promised wouldn’t be possible. If there are that many people playing per server, with a queue in the server of 5k+ at times, there is just not enough land to go around. I ended up logging back out of it.

I spent a good bit of time after that working on making sure my emails were properly filtered, then managed to either delete or read about 200 unread messages. It was up around 270, and I got it down to around 70 unread messages. Ever since Google got rid of the Inbox thing they’d beta-tested, I’ve struggled to maintain a reasonable number of unread messages in my inbox at any given time.

I was still going through emails when it was time to get Casey ready for bed. He had a bath first, then got ready for bed quickly so we could spend more time reading the Dog Man comic book. I made sure he read his homework book to me first, then we finished the first Dog Man book and read the prologue of the second. Then he got on my old phone for a while, playing Slither IO, until it was time for bed. I got him all snuggled in, then got back on the computer.

I was craving a movie night with Daniel. Fully PG and everything. I just wanted to snuggle up to him with a movie. But, since I couldn’t, I decided to start catching up on my shows instead. I watched a couple episodes of NCIS and then went to bed.
