I got up relatively early so I could call the school and let them know Casey would not be in yet again, plus it would be a good idea to stay on a normal sleep schedule. I got some coffee while the computer booted, and then spent some time just looking through Facebook until my free book & paid emails started coming in. I took care of those, and then got started with work. I spent most of the rest of the day pecking away at work. When I wasn’t working, I was just hanging around on Facebook.
Casey didn’t get up until about 10:30 and then spent the day resting. His temperature was fairly normal, and in the afternoon his behavior started getting back to normal as well. His cough was still pretty bad, but I felt he would be well enough to finally return to school on Thursday.
I made plans early in the day to go out with Mindi. We met for dinner at Denny’s a little after 7 and then went to The Break Room for karaoke. We stayed up much too late, and I got to chatting with Daniel’s best friend Troy again. Daniel had reacted so strongly when I’d expressed interest in Troy before. And yet, that was not the reason for me chatting him up again. In all honesty, Troy is hotter than Daniel.
Ultimately, I want something real. A long-term relationship. Maybe even find someone to marry again. But for now? A little bit of fun along the way wouldn’t be a bad thing. I kept trying to get Troy to come out and join us at the bar, but that didn’t seem to be happening. I ended up giving him my address to try and get him to come over, but that didn’t happen either. I finally got to bed around 2:30 or 3.
