Wednesday

I got up and got my coffee while the computer booted, then got dressed and parked in SL while also getting dressed in RL and getting Casey up, dressed, and fed. I dropped him off at school at the usual time, then headed back home.

I took care of my free book & paid emails as they came in, then got back to SL with Cyn. We went to a couple places, but mostly just messed around with outfits. She did some online shopping and got some demos to try things before buying them.

I picked Casey up from school at the usual time. His teacher walked him out and told me of an incident involving him and the bully’s twin brother. There were other students saying that Casey hit Ayden first, and then Ayden punched Casey in the stomach. After we got home and Casey finally stopped crying, he told me his side of the story. They were looking at Zach’s pictures together, and Casey thought the cake in one of the pictures looked like it was made out of paper. Ayden yelled “no it’s not!” and took a few steps back. He made like he was going to run toward the pictures, and Casey was worried he was going to damage them somehow. So, he put his arm out to stop Ayden, and his hand connected with Ayden’s ribs on the right side. Casey was going to apologize since he didn’t mean to hit him, but Ayden punched him in the stomach. I sent that information to the teacher, and she later replied that Casey’s story matched up with what she’d been told by Ayden’s parents. She also said that Ayden’s mom was going to have him write an apology to Casey, so I later had Casey write one to Ayden as well, letting him know it was an accident and that he was sorry.

When I heard of the incident at first, I honestly believed that Casey had hit Ayden in frustration. Casey kept telling me he didn’t and that he wasn’t lying. I kept telling him that he’s hit me and Dave in frustration and has also lied to us. Casey even tried saying he never lies, but that’s a lie right there! During that time, I was also telling Casey that he was going to go without his electronics for a week. I amended it to say that it would at least be until I could verify his story with the teacher. He was not happy about it either way. I told him he needed to diversify his interests, that all he ever does is play on his devices and he needed to do other things as well. He finally accepted that right around the time that I heard from his teacher, essentially verifying his story.

Casey did some craft stuff for a short while and then asked if he could play on the Switch. I told him that, since the teacher had verified his story, he could. So he did that for the rest of the night.

I was still playing on SL with Cyn. One of my mesh bodies got updated to this new “Bakes on Mesh” system, which is absolutely amazing. It lets me use all my original system layer clothing on my mesh body, opening up a whole new world of possibilities. It also resolves a problem I’d been having with the tattoos my avatar has, where the texture flashed.

I got Casey to bed at the usual time, then got back to some more SL with Cyn. I was changing clothes and tweaking things with my head, which was also updated to BOM, and she got a new mesh furry body and was messing with that.

I did get on Fallout 76 for a short while, as she was messing with her body and I was already done getting dressed, but then logged back out and went back to just chatting with her on SL while she messed with her new body. We kept that up until I was ready for bed.
