I got up and got my latte while the computer booted, then got parked on SL while getting Casey up, dressed, and fed. I dropped him off at school around the usual time, then headed back home.
I spent some time scrolling through my Facebook news feed until all my free book & paid emails were in. I took care of those, then headed to the store for a few things. The main thing I needed was soda for the pack meeting later that night.
Once I was home and the groceries were put away, the only thing I ended up doing besides scrolling through Facebook was talking to Colin. One of the things we discussed is how the dynamic of our relationship has changed lately. We haven’t been doing adult things on the phone for quite a while, for various reasons. Colin just hasn’t been feeling the best in a very long time, and that makes it difficult. We have both accepted the change and accept what may change even further in the future. Daniel knows a bit about Colin, but not much. He pretty much just knows that I talk to a guy from Scotland. I need to focus more on working to get on my feet, and if Daniel and I are really moving in together at any point then those things combined will mean a lot less time talking to Colin at all. Neither of us were upset by the conversation, but I think it needed to happen just so we know we’re on the same page.
I picked Casey up from school at the usual time, then we came back home and he got on the toilet. When he was done there, he just kept doing stuff on my old phone until it was time to head to the pack meeting. I got on Fallout 76 for a short while but didn’t really do much before logging off.
Daniel also went to the pack meeting and said he’d help me carry in all the soda I’d bought. Casey and I waited in the parking lot for him to arrive, then we all walked in together. Daniel and I sat together at one table, with Casey and Michael at the one right next to ours. Daniel said we’d have our hands full with the two of them, and talked about how they’ll one day start covering for each other and that it was a good thing. It meant they’d bonded. I told one lady, Melanie, about our potential plans for moving in together. She knew about us already from a slip-up at a meeting, and I was excited to share the possible news with someone other than Colin or Mandie. Then another mom from our group, Amber, overheard part of the conversation so I filled her in. I don’t care if people know about us, I’m ready to shout it to the world! But, I don’t know how he feels about that. When we were all cleaning up at the end of the night, I went into the kitchen to see if there was anything that needed to be done there. Daniel said to me that people were probably talking about us. We finished cleaning up and walked out to our cars together.
Once we got home, I had Casey get ready for bed. Then I read to him and tucked him in before getting on the computer and doing a bit more of my Facebook scrolling. I ended up talking to both Melanie and Amber for a while, as well as Daniel. Melanie said I radiated happiness that night, and I ended up giving Amber a recap of things. I told Daniel I thought Ben suspected something, and his response was “Oh well.” That’s the spirit!
I watched an episode of NCIS: New Orleans then headed to bed fairly early.
