Got to sleep in Sunday morning until about 10:30. Got up and got my latte, then got parked on SL. Then I took care of my free book & paid emails, before finally getting on Minecraft.
I decided to make another attempt at getting the modded world uploaded to the realm. I really do prefer me and others being able to play at any time from any device, even if I’m not playing in the world. This time, it worked! I ticked the box to require people to download the packs, and that must be what did the trick. I also applied a different texture pack to the world, and so far everyone seems happy with it.
Spent some time fixing some things up at the snow place, and then headed off toward what I hoped would be a lovely coastal village. Found one and started building my Fallout replica house there. Autumn ended up building a beach house not far away, and even Casey came to set up camp. Autumn, with her clever use of command blocks, was able to set up teleporters to get us between the bases faster. We’re kinda making this new Coastal Village location our hub. I love the snow, but, it’s just too much all the time.
Spent pretty much the rest of the day working on that, up until and even after getting Casey to bed. Over the course of the day I’d built the house, a greenhouse, and a fishing shack. Casey was upset about not being able to help me with anything (he wasn’t really at the computer all that much at that point) so I saved the barn for him to help with the next day.
Stayed up way too late tinkering with stuff on Minecraft, didn’t get to bed until around 3am.
Woke up to a little snuggle bug in my bed around 9:30 or so. I’d set an alarm so I wouldn’t sleep too late. I’d gotten emails and texts yesterday evening that school was closed today due to the incoming snow.
Got up and got my latte, and got parked on SL. Jumped on Conan to refresh the bases, and then Aura Kingdom to relist items in the auction house. Then I took care of my free book & paid emails before finally getting on Minecraft with Casey. Autumn had only slept a few hours, but she came on for a little while. When she couldn’t stay awake any longer, it was just me and Casey working on the barn. Jordan was in and out, but he’s not able to talk because he doesn’t have a keyboard.
Took a break after finishing the barn, which Casey delegated to me when I told him I needed it larger than he was making it, and shoveled snow outside. I could tell Dave had shoveled before leaving for work, but there was still a few inches. And, the worst part was at the end of the driveway. It’s always the worst part, but in this case it was particularly bad because Dave had left piles a few feet high on either side of the driveway, blocking us from getting in and out as normal. There was still room enough for one car to get in and out, but either of us would have to maneuver more towards the center of the driveway. So, pedantic as ever, I hauled all that snow from those piles into the yard so the full driveway was clear.
Came back inside and collapsed in my chair, and got back on Minecraft with Casey. Jordan must have logged out at some point, and Autumn was still not on. I spent the time tabbed on Facebook, scrolling through my news feed. Eventually, Autumn came back on. But, it was right around the time Dave got home, and I needed to go to the store to get more food for myself before the extreme cold hit.
Got word from the school that they’d be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, which I expected. I thought it’d be Thursday as well, but maybe they’re waiting to see how it is after Wednesday.
Sent Daniel a text that I’d really like to warm him up before the cold set in, but figured I probably wouldn’t get a reply.
Jumped in the shower, then blew my hair dry (which is something I rarely do anymore) and headed to Walmart for more frozen dinners. I turned the volume on on my phone while I was out, in case a text came in. But nothing did. After I was done at Walmart, I went to the McDonald’s drive-thru for my mushroom & swiss burger and a happy meal for Casey.
Came home and got the stuff out of the car. On the way up the stairs with everything, my purse broke. Great. I rather liked this purse too. I know I carry too much crap with me, though. And the purse was a relatively cheap one from china.
Dave snipped at me about getting my car re-checked for the ongoing tire pressure sensor fault. Yes, I know it needs to get looked at again. I don’t want to drag Casey with me, and he’d pointed out before I left for the store that it’s just going to keep getting colder. It will get done, and soon, just, not yet.
Got the stuff put away and logged back into Minecraft to chat with Autumn while I ate. Once I’d eaten, I moved a couple animals to the barn. I helped Casey with a couple things at the house he was building for himself, and then got him to get ready for bed.
That catches up to where I am now, about to see if Autumn wants to turn mobs on or what.
Ended up doing a bit of mining and then a bit of fishing. Pretty sore and tired after a long day, think I’ll probably be in bed soon.
