Man, last night was a bust. I actually disciplined myself and got off Minecraft earlier than I had the couple nights prior. But then all hell broke loose for nearly an hour. Well, not all hell, but I got pretty upset at the situation. I had gotten these vape fidget things and when I went to put the one on, I must not have been doing it right. It got stuck. After quite a bit of effort, I finally got it. I decided to try the other vape fidget on that mod, and it worked. So then I tried to put the first fidget on my other mod, and it got even more stuck than it had before. I kept trying different things and couldn’t get it off no matter what I did. At one point, the glass came off of the tank and caused the liquid to come out. Fortunately, I made it to the bathroom with it before it made a mess of me, my desk, the carpet, etc. Finally I dug out another tank, since the fidget was stuck to the mod itself at that point not the tank, and was able to get it loose that way. By then, it was nearly 3am.
Got to bed ok after that, slept about the same as always, and had my alarm going off at the normal time. I didn’t want to get up, but I forced myself. Dave and Casey were already up, Dave was in the shower. I snuggled Casey a minute and then had him carry a box of goodies to Dave for Father’s Day. At first, Dave told Casey to just set the box down and he’d take it to the recycling bin in a bit. Casey started getting upset, naturally. I really wasn’t even sure if he was serious or joking, thinking that the box was trash. I calmed Casey down and told him to tell daddy it was his present. Dave said he didn’t know, and then said he’d open it right away. He did, and seemed very happy with everything we’d picked out.
After that was when I finally went to grab my coffee. Took it back to the computer and hopped on SL to get dressed, then took care of my free book and paid emails. Then it was straight to Minecraft, but I tried to be aware that, at any point, Dave may want us all to go out and do something together as a family.
A little while later, Casey was ready to start playing Minecraft as well. So, got him started on it.
Dave made spaghetti for dinner, and other than eating and going to the bathroom, Casey and I stayed on Minecraft until 8:30. I stayed on after that, but now Casey’s sitting on his bed for a few minutes with his tablet to wind down before I tuck him in.
