Wednesday

I got up and got some coffee while the computer booted, then got dressed while also getting Casey up, dressed, and fed. While he ate breakfast, I got on Aura Kingdom to take care of the Gaia Chronicle. Then, I dropped Casey off at school, a bit later than usual. Then, I headed back home and got on ArcheAge to deal with the gardening, then started working on my free book & paid emails.

Once my emails had been dealt with, I headed to Walmart to get a few things. I spent a bit of time looking around as well, but then got what I needed and headed home.

After the groceries were put away, I went ahead and took care of the dishes and got some breakfast. Then, it was on to Fallout 76. I spent the rest of the day playing around on there, exploring and questing and farming stuff I needed.

I sent Brad another corny pickup line, hoping to hear something from him and make plans for the evening.

I picked Casey up from school at the usual time and brought him back home. He got on the toilet, and I got back on Fallout.

I got Casey ready for bed, read to and tucked in, a bit later than I would like. I got back on Fallout afterward.

A while later, I finally heard from Brad. He said I could come over, but that he was still talking with a friend so he wasn’t ready for me yet. I didn’t know how long he would be since I didn’t know what kind of friend he was talking to. After about an hour passed, I sent a rather lighthearted check-in type message. Quite a while passed before he finally responded, and gave the indication he’d been talking to a war buddy and that it got deep. I didn’t know if he’d really be up for company after that, with how it affects his PTSD. He made a comment about not being cool with the 3rd degree, and I was confused. The check-in message I’d sent came across the wrong way because of the conversation he’d been having. He thought I should have known that he was talking to a war buddy, but I explained that in my experience with military folk, they have a variety of friends and not just war buddies. He seemed more understanding after that and said I could come by at midnight. I was already falling asleep but didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to see him.

We hung out at his computer and watched a political show on YouTube together, Louder with Crowder. It was pretty good and made me more interested in trying to follow some political stuff, just not mainstream. I think that’s what got me disinterested in politics, all the mainstream bullshit that I’ve seen over the years.

Finally, we headed upstairs. I’d been starting to doze off at his computer, but I don’t think he realized it. If he did, he didn’t say. We “snuggled” for a while, then went to sleep.
