I got up and got some coffee while the computer booted, then got dressed while also getting Casey up, dressed, and fed. I dropped him off at school at the usual time, then headed back home and scrolled through Facebook for a bit until it was time to head out again.
I went to Denny’s, where I was supposed to meet a guy I’d been talking to on and off for a while. I don’t think I’ve mentioned to him that I have a boyfriend, but there’s no harm in meeting new people regardless. Well, the only problem was, he wasn’t there. I’d told him I’d let him know by Sunday night if I *wouldn’t* make it, but he must have thought I’d confirm with him if I still *could* make it. So, I headed to Denny’s for a breakfast sandwich and a donut and took that home.
I took care of my free book & paid emails before getting on ArcheAge to tend my gardens, and then Aura Kingdom since it’d been a bit. I did some of my daily stuff on AK, then created a character on Black Desert Online. It didn’t want to run very well on my computer, but I didn’t feel like messing around with settings much. I also knew I’d want to at least have the option of playing it on the Xbox, so I bought that copy as well. It looked like a pretty good game, despite Cyn’s horrific review.
Then, as I was preparing to get back on ArcheAge for more gardening, the internet started going out. It was on and off the rest of the day.
I picked Casey up from school at the usual time, then headed back home and had him get on the toilet for a while. I did use my phone as a hotspot to tend the gardens anyway but didn’t want to use it for a whole lot.
I spent much of the rest of the afternoon and early evening just messing around on Facebook. I didn’t feel like reading or coloring. Later in the evening, I used the phone as a hotspot again to get on Astellia for the daily login timer.
When it came time to tuck Casey in, everything was fine until I went to turn his light to blue for him. Right, no internet. I kept trying to explain to him that I couldn’t turn his light blue because it was connected to the internet, which was off. He started pitching a mini-fit, asking me to just try. Dave came in and asked what was going on, so I explained to him that we’ve had an outage most of the day. He copped his usual attitude and told me that he’d been on the internet just fine since he’d been home, “so are you just going to punish him for it?” I wasn’t punishing him?
I went and tried the app to change Casey’s light, and that worked. But, my phone wasn’t connected to the wifi, and neither was Casey’s Echo, so there would be no music. He went about his whole “just try” mini-fit again but finally settled for me.
After I got the daily Astel card on Astellia, I checked ArcheAge and then went to bed. I’d hoped to hear from Brad, but hadn’t and figured it was probably for the best since my knee was pretty sore.
