I got up and got some coffee while the computer booted, then took care of my free book and paid emails before getting on Black Desert on the Xbox. Casey had more of a relaxed day with no assignments from his teacher, but I still had him do some worksheets, especially for math. After lunch, we walked up to the office to drop off the rent check. We both felt like we’d had a good workout after that.
In the afternoon, I heard from the insurance company saying my car was considered a total loss, the cost to repair it would exceed 70% of the car’s value. The good news is, they valued my car at about $6600. After the deductible, I’ll get about $6100 towards another car. I started looking online and found a van that Casey and I both like. I got in touch with the dealership and arranged to test-drive it on Monday. They said I can write them a check for a deposit, and drive off with it right then if I’m happy with it. So, I’ll remember to take my checkbook.
I got Casey to bed around the usual time, then got back to more Black Desert. I was enjoying a wide variety of things to do there.
The only other notable thing from my day was that I did hear from Brad, but he was pretty tired from the workweek. It’d been a long few days for him especially. I assume he must have dozed off, because other than letting me know he had his daughters and wouldn’t likely get much rest over the weekend, I didn’t hear anything else from him.
I stayed up until nearly 3am playing Black Desert before I finally got tired enough for bed.
