Can I get a different Tuesday please?

It started out fairly harmless. I got up and got my coffee while the computer booted, then got Casey up, dressed, and fed. I dropped him off at school, then headed back home. I spent a bit of time on Facebook and AFF, just waiting for my free book & paid emails to arrive. I took care of them when they got in, then headed to Walmart for an oil change.

I would have to wait a couple hours on my oil change, but I wanted to get some breakfast at Subway and look around a bit anyway. Unfortunately, Subway wasn’t open until 10am, so I got my hair trimmed and then looked at the As Seen on TV stuff. I ended up getting some hemp-infused arthritis gloves and a socket shelf thing.

I’d been standing there waiting for Subway to open when a little old lady came up to also wait. When they finally opened, the little bitch cut in front of me! I so wanted to say something, I’d technically been waiting about 20 minutes by that point. But, I was a good girl and kept my mouth shut. The last time I went off on someone for acting like a preschooler it didn’t work out too well for me.

I ate my breakfast then looked around the store for a little while, slowly making my way to the auto center. When I got close, the associate that had checked me in let me know they were working on my car finally. I sat in their little waiting room for the rest of the time.

I got my car and headed back home. I installed the socket shelf and put on my new arthritis glove, hoping it would help my carpal tunnel. Then I got started on some cleaning up that needed to be done before the other Cub Scouts came over later. I cleaned off the kitchen table and Casey’s desk, then sat down at my computer for a rest.

That’s when shit started going down.

I’d gotten a message from Daniel early in the morning on AFF, just asking about the Cub Scouts meeting I’d told him about. Simple enough. I’d then let him know that it was at my house at 6pm and what he’d need to bring. I didn’t want to discuss Cub Scout stuff on AFF, so I told him he’d need to message me on FB or something, and closed that browser tab.

The conversation on FB started out innocent enough. But then he was asking about helping set up for Scouts. I told him everything was pretty much set up, but that I had a lot of cleaning to do. He offered to help with that. I would almost go so far as to say he was practically begging to come over, in not so many words.

I was talking with Mindi about the conversation, sending her screenshots of it as it carried on. Even she said he was definitely fishing for an excuse to come over, before Scouts. She advised against it, but I felt like I’d be strong enough to keep it “cordial.” Meanwhile, she found a funny meme that said “Caught ya man in my inbox again. Here you go…” I was at the school to pick Casey up when I saw it, and laughed out loud, like a full-on guffaw. I commented “I’m dying. With witnesses!”

Casey and I headed back home. He got on the toilet and I was waiting to see if Daniel would actually come to help or not. I managed to get a bit more done. We were still chatting on Facebook messenger, but he was very noncommital. Around 4:30, just as Dave was getting home from work, I saw Daniel’s car parked outside my house. I said he could hurry and have Dave let him in. He acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about, that he was on his way to pick up the pizza he’d already ordered, and was then going to pick up Michael from the Boys & Girls Club.

Dave even said, “Was that your boyfriend’s car that just left?” Yet Daniel was trying to act like he hadn’t been parked outside my house.

Anyway, I kept pecking away at the cleaning while waiting to find out what was going on. Finally, it was time for the other parents and their Scouts to arrive. After a couple had gotten there, I messaged Daniel to clarify that he was bringing pizza for the group. Something just felt off about him having been parked outside my house but not coming in to help clean. He replied that he’d tried to order the pizza, but Michael was doubled over in pain, so he was taking him to the ER instead. I checked with the other parents to see if they wanted pizza, and enough wanted it so I quickly ordered some for delivery, and we got started on our project.

The kids made birdhouses out of boxes and milk cartons. They spent a good bit of time working on those, then we talked about a few different kinds of birds that are native to Wisconsin. One of the kids and his parents headed out, and the rest of us ate some pizza and chatted. Eventually, everyone else had gone, and I had Casey get ready for bed.

Mindi had shared another meme that said being called a liar when you’re telling the truth is the most frustrating thing ever. I commented that it was about as frustrating as catching someone in a lie, knowing they’re also lying to their partner. I said this because Daniel had said he was going to pick up the pizza, then go get Michael. But then he later said he had tried to order the pizza but Michael was doubled over in pain. So I knew he was lying to me. And I just assumed that whatever the fuck was going on with Jamie, he was lying to her about something as well.

He starts going on about me trying to ruin his life, blah blah blah, and I just said I didn’t know what he was even talking about. Ok well, I did know what he was talking about: the comment that Jamie was obviously reading a tad too much into. I mean, he’s definitely lying, but she must be assuming he’s lying to her about either trying to or actually fucking me and/or Mindi.

Mindi shared yet another appropriate meme that said: “I don’t always get blocked on Facebook, but when I do it’s a good indication I was right and they couldn’t handle it.” I commented on that “#truth” because Daniel had just blocked us again.

I messaged Leanne to check on Michael because if Daniel was telling the truth I had a good reason to be concerned. She hadn’t heard anything about an ER visit, so she started making phone calls to find out what was going on. I guess he told her that Michael had just been constipated, and had managed to go so he didn’t bother taking him to the ER. We chatted a bit more about the likelihood of him lying to us about it.

Throughout the entire day, I’d managed to get 2 1/2 hours of work done. I had originally planned to just take Friday off but now would have to work for 2 1/2 hours. So, I’d just finished working and had launched Fallout 76, had managed to get a few things done in the game, then I get another message from Daniel.

He said he was putting Michael in a different class, and that he would no longer be allowed near Casey. And that he was getting an order against me and Mindi. I said I would just check with Leanne about it, and he said that it was her idea.

I’d told him that he can’t get an order of protection without justification and that he was not to contact me on any platform ever again. If he did, I would screenshot it and go to the police, that I’d already been to them once and they were doing extra patrols by my house. Meanwhile, he told Mindi he was going to “fix it all.”

Leanne said she’d never said anything of the sort, but that she had a bunch of friends calling her to make sure Michael was safe because of something Daniel had posted on Facebook. I was then concerned he would end up in a casket, and she was concerned he’d end up in jail.

Leanne said she was getting ready to go to bed, and I was getting tired as well, so I decided to go ahead and call it a night.
